My altered Tissue Box......

Hello everyone,
I would like to extend a lovely warm welcome to my new followers,
I hope you find some of my projects inspiring......

I've had time to do a bit of crafting,
So without further ado, This is my latest project...
It's another SECRET one,
It's for my son for Christmas.
I know I can trust you to keep my secret....

This is how the box was when I bought it.

This is the finished box,
I've added a few "Nuts" to give it a masculine look.

I covered the box with Gesso, Then painted it & added some bits & bobs.

I then covered the bits & bobs with Gesso,
Once dry, I painted them.

I love making these altered articles,
If Reg stayed still long enough, I might even alter him Ha Ha .....

Spooky Halloween Treat....

Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my last project.

Today I would like to share a Halloween project,

I think I got the idea from a Morrisons booklet.
I will be making more of these for the children that come trick or treating.

This is self explanatory....
I just put treats into a latex glove, Tied with ribbon & added a spider.

I packed the glove with Chocolate Skeletons"

An altered shoe....... Another relaxing project......

I hope you are having a lovely day,

I've spent most of today altering this shoe,

I hope the like the result....

This is another project that helped me to relax

This is the shoe I started with.....

I decided to make it Steampunk....

I painted the shoe brown

&

added the braiding,

I coloured the braiding,cogs, clock etc with LuminArte'.

I them went on to add flowers, cogs & bits from an old bracelet to it.

My altered box......................

I would like to thank everyone for their good wishes,
Advice & offers to chat....
I seem to be getting my depression under control...
This project was very therapeutic....
I just took my time & crafted when i felt like it.

I would like to share my latest creation with you,

This was a bit out of my comfort zone,

But you know what they say...

"Nothing ventured, Nothing gained"

I bought this box in The Range, It was £7.

From this......

To this.......

First I coated the box with Gesso,
Then I added some Braiding & Bits from my stash.

Then I coated the embellishments with Gesso.

Whoops.... I forgot to mention, I took the lid off.

The next step was to assemble the box & paint it,
Then I lined the box & lid.

I added 4 large beads to the base.

Everything was painted with Acrylic Paint (Burnt Umber)
For the finishing touch, I rubbed LuminArte (Bronze Medallion)
Onto the embellishments & the "Feet"

THIS IS A SECRET BETWEEN YOU & ME,
This is a Christmas present for my daughter.

Large Medallion Recycled from an old belt.
