My altered box......................

Hi everyone,
I would like to thank everyone for their good wishes,
Advice & offers to chat....
I seem to be getting my depression under control...
This project was very therapeutic....
I just took my time & crafted when i felt like it.

I would like to share my latest creation with you,
This was a bit out of my comfort zone,
But you know what they say...
"Nothing ventured, Nothing gained"

I would like to enter this project into the following challenges.

I bought this box in The Range, It was £7.

From this......

To this.......

First I coated the box with Gesso,
Then I added some Braiding & Bits from my stash.



Then I coated the embellishments with Gesso.

Whoops.... I forgot to mention, I took the lid off.

The next step was to assemble the box & paint it,
Then I lined the box & lid.


I added 4 large beads to the base.

Everything was painted with Acrylic Paint (Burnt Umber)
For the finishing touch, I rubbed LuminArte (Bronze Medallion)
Onto the embellishments & the "Feet"

THIS IS A SECRET BETWEEN YOU & ME,
This is a Christmas present for my daughter.

 Items used.
Box (The Range)
Gesso (The Works)
Acrylic Paint (The Works)
Braiding from my stash,
I also used a selection of bits from my stash.
Large Medallion Recycled from an old belt.
Bits from broken necklaces.
Pink Beads.
4 Large Beads for feet.
Lots of love.......

    I saw this on 613 Avenue and thought I would pop over and see it close up...it really is amazing...love the embellishment you picked...and the color is prefect...
    Then I saw you are depress....I too suffer (16yrs now) from depression and anxiety... panic attacks...I'm on medication and I hope you are too....if not you need to see your doctor right away....the best therapy is to have someone to talk too...you can pick up the phone and just .."talk to me"...it doesn't have to be about anything...just talk... this will help to get you thru the moment...also...keep your hands busy....
    I hope this helps in anyway possible...sending hugs your way....
