An altered box. (Gift-box for my grand-daughter)

Today i'd like to show you the gift-box I've made for my grand-daughter (Toni)
She is 21 today.
Toni loves boxes & is a keen collector of anything & everything,
So this should come in very handy for storing "things"
I might put some photographs in as a keepsake.

I would like to enter this project into the following challenges.
http://rheddandrosies.blogspot.co.uk/ (3)

This is the plain box I started with.

First I distressed the sides & stuck paper on, then distressed it again.

Then I did the same with the lid.

To give it a more vintage look,
I distressed a square of MDF,
Then stuck a watch & some old washers on.

Finally I added a key.

The finished box, I hope you like it.

Items used.
Box (Paperchase)
Papers. from my stash.
Tim Holtz distress inks (Wild honey & Rusty hinge)
Colour box fluid chalk (Amber clay)
Clock & key (Stash)
Promarkers. (Black)
Rusty washers (Reg's shed)

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog,
I really appreciate your comments x
