Music, Music, Music....................

We had a lovely holiday,

But we got back to some sad news,

Reg's twin brother's wife had passed away while we were in Spain.

Thank you all for the lovely kind words,

My crafty friends are so thoughtful.

I am trying to get back into the swing of things,

I've had a relaxing day & made a couple of cards,

I made the violin several weeks ago.

I stamped the violin onto card, Coloured it, Curved it & then added Glossy Accents.

I've tried to give it lots of depth.

I used Distress Inks for the background.

My project for "Through the Purple Haze" #46

Hi everyone,

As you read this post,
I will be in sunny Benidorm,
It's a hard life, But someone has to do it.....
I promise i will be thinking of you guys....

We have a great challenge this week,
Our theme is the ever popular,
ANYTHING GOES.
With the option of using your leftovers.

I decided to make a Shadow Box,
I used leftover card to make the reeds.
The Box is one of twenty i bought at a bargain price.

The Box was white, I painted it cream, Then dabbed brown paint on,
Finally i coated it with Mod Podge.

memories of Paris.......

Hello again,

I'm back with my second post for today.

If you saw my last post, 

You might have guessed i'm using Kraft Card again.....

This brought back wonderful memories of my Silver Wedding Anniversary,

With my late husband (Alan)

We spent a week in Paris....

The "Pearl" in the centre of the rosette is a broken ear-ring.

I added Lace & Pearls along the bottom of the card.

"Vintage" Telephone & Address book .......

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a lovely Sunday,
I certainly am.
First i would like to thank everyone for the lovely comments on my previous blog.

I would like to enter this project into the following challenges.

I've spent a few hours altering our telephone & address book....

I hope you like the result.

Our book was a sorry sight,
Grey & Boring.
I couldn't wait to alter it.

First i covered it with brown paper.

I covered the inside cover & stained it,
To give it a Vintage look.

Then i stained the outside cover,
I love the effect i got,
All creased & crumpled.

I then went on to decorate the cover,
I used corrugated card, Leather fabric, Carpet tile, Lace & an embellishment from an old bracelet.
